1962 Started training as a dress designer

1964 Went to Paris to gain experience working as a trainee for a couture boutique     
1966 Assistant designer at Biba, London

1969 Freelance Designer

1972 Head designer at Salvador, London

1975 Designer at Christian Dior, London

1978 Started own Couture house in London
Clients included: Diana, Princess of Wales, H.R.H. The Duchess of
Kent, H.R.H. Princess Michael of Kent, Princess Chantal of
Hanover, The Countess of Snowdon, Mrs Donatella
Flick, Victoria Tennant, Lady Heseltine.
In New York: Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, Mrs Victoria Newhouse, 
Mrs Cece Kieslstein Cord, Miss Anna Wintour, Miss Tina Brown, Mrs Henryk de Kwiatowski.

1989 Designed ballet of Rhapsody in Blue for The Rambert Dance Company

1991 Designed Cinderella for The Greenwich Theatre

1993 Decided to close his company to concentrate on painting

1993-5  Studied painting with David Cranswick in London and Charles Cecil in Florence.

1996 One man exhibition at Sotheby's including oil paintings and pastels of still-life, landscapes and portraits.

1999 'Inside Venice' at Hopkins, Thomas, Custot, Paris. An exhibition of pastels of Venitian interiors, including palaces, churches, glass makers and weavers.

2001 Exhibition of pictures of Indian palace interiors and other
related subjects at Hazlitt, Gooden and Fox.

2003 Exhibition of pastels of Roman Fountains at Didier Aaron in New York and afterwards in Paris.

2011 Spring, planned exhibition of pastels of Interiors and Still life at Derek Johns’ gallery in London.

2012 The Studio, London, Postcards from India

Victor Edelstein and his wife Annamaria Succi, also a painter, have lived in Andalucia and Venice and are now living in the Cotswolds.
